JFORTMEDIA Presents: The Rise of a Faith-Driven Afrobeat Artist
At JFORTMEDIA, our mission is to amplify culture, talent, and purpose—and when we come across an artist who embodies all three, we don’t just take note—we tell their story.
Marvelous T is not just another name in the music industry; he’s a faith-driven Afrobeat artist who is defining what it means to stay grounded while rising high. With roots in Lagos, soundscapes that stretch across continents, and a heart tuned to both spirit and street, he’s one of the few artists today translating his truth into timeless sound.

From Lagos Pulse to UK Soul
Before the spotlight, there was rhythm—real rhythm. Born Babatunde Adekoya, Marvelous T grew up immersed in Lagos’ raw energy: Afrobeat on street corners, prayer in the air, football on dusty pitches, and a creative heartbeat that shaped his identity.
It was the maracas in his father’s hands and the music on the radio that planted the seed. While he pursued Fine Art at Yaba College of Technology and played football at club level, the call of music never left. It followed him to the UK, where he began playing drums and guitar in churches—spaces that nurtured both his musical talent and spiritual vision.
That’s where passion evolved into purpose. Music became his ministry.
How Family Sparked the Fire
Some turning points are quiet. Others light up everything. For Marvelous T, it was his daughter Rachel, a UK-based creative who often collaborates with global names like Davido. Watching her orchestrate talent and hearing her say, “Dad, you have talent. Develop it,” was a moment of awakening.
And that was all it took. From that day forward, he knew his sound had something bigger behind it.
A Sound Carved Between Spirit and Street
Marvelous T stepped fully into the spotlight during the 2020 global lockdown, when the world needed faith and hope. His gospel debut, “God’s Faithfulness,” delivered both. It was his sonic anchor—and for many listeners, their spiritual one too.
Then came “Ori L’ayanmo (Destiny)” in 2022 and “Celebration Galore” in 2023—projects filled with Yoruba-rooted praise and rhythmic joy.
But Marvelous T is not one-dimensional. His musical journey reflects Afro-spiritual duality—one foot in worship, the other in Afrobeat’s vibrant hustle. In 2023, he boldly transitioned with tracks like “Destined to Be Rich” and “My Time”, followed by Afro-street anthems “Yungba Yungba”, “Easy Jeje”, and the deeply emotive “On Your Own.”
Each record? A chapter in a life that reflects both God’s grace and the grit of the journey.
The Faith-Driven Afrobeat Artist Telling Real Stories
Every bar Marvelous T spits, every chorus he harmonizes, is rooted in something real—grace, struggle, purpose, and identity. Whether he’s moving bodies on the dancefloor or lifting spirits through gospel, his message is clear: there’s power in walking with purpose.
Take his latest gospel track, “Juju Marimba.” It fuses African ancestral rhythms with modern worship tones. The result? A sound that feels both rooted and revolutionary.
And the journey continues. His upcoming single, “Ire (Goodness)”, is set to blend traditional Yoruba philosophy with Afrobeat grooves, reminding us that when you walk in truth, blessings follow.
